About
Welcome
Linda McInally is an Australian, Brisbane based visual artist. Her artistic and creative journey continually returns to portraiture and figurative works. The artworks can be representative or abstract portrayals of her sitter or subject matter. Linda’s exploration and strong curiosity has led to extensive experimentation across a range of drawing and painting styles using a multiple mediums and substrates. More recently, oil painting is her choice for figurative and portraiture works.
Her practice also explores symbolic and abstracted ideas through multidisciplinary works that investigate identity, the evolution of self, equality, equity, mortality and the human experience. She is particularly interested in people through portraiture and the observation of human behaviour and temporality. A minimalist approach is often used to express ideas that include working with abstracted shapes, lines, colours and forms. The possibilities are endless. Linda’s creative process records and archives her trace of being and life experience.
